Devin flew down to Las Vegas on Sunday, July 29 for a CSEA conference. We decided (actually, I decided) to rent a car and drive down to meet him on Thursday. He would then miss his flight home on Friday and we would drive back Sunday. This plan worked out really well

I picked the rental car up at about 8 am on Thursday and headed out on my 10 hour drive. It wasn’t to bad. I listened to a Harry Potter book that I downloaded to my iPod, which really helped pass the time. I made it to Vegas without incident about 6:15, checked into our resort and met up with Devin for dinner with him and some of the folks that were there with him for the conference.

Since the conference was at the Paris (where Devin was staying), we stayed there Thursday night. On Friday we packed up our stuff, attended the closing meeting, ate lunch and headed over to our resort. We both had a really good time: buffets, shows, people watching and some gambling.

It was a lot of fun, I can’t wait to go again!
